Pirates!

It’s not long until the February half term and once again we are running an exciting crafty event – this time our theme is ‘Pirates!’. You can paint pirate pictures using stencils, stampers or even your hands and feet, use playdough to make treasure and sea creatures, you can also make and decorate a pirate hat, a hook, a telescope and a treasure map.

These activities will be most suitable for 3-8 year olds, but younger children can still join in with a bit of adult help, and older children are welcome if they would enjoy it.

For children aged 3 and over, it is £6 per child. This gives you total access to all activities (painting, playdough, sticking and colouring – but you can often do more than one project at each table).

For children aged 2 and under, you have the option to pay the full price to do all the activities, or a discounted price of £3 to just do the dough and painting activities (the best activities for little ones who would like to join in, but don’t stay focused for long!). We also have a small area with a few toys and games that is free of charge.

Christmas crafts

We will be at the Baby & Children's Market providing Christmas themed crafts activities for families visiting the event.

There are two different decorations that you can make:

- a mini Christmas tree made from lolly sticks, pipe cleaners, sequins and foam shapes.

- a clay ornament, decorated using inks, felt tips, glitter and sequins.

You can even make a lovely keepsake, where each family member does a finger print 'bauble'. This is particularly nice for families with babies and younger children, who would like to join in.

Halloween!

Plus there will be colouring sheets, wordsearches and puzzles.

Animal paintings

This is one of our special mini events. In this session we will be painting using brushes, sponges, stencils, fingers, hands and even feet (if you wish!) to create a range of animal pictures.

This activity is most suitable for 18 months – 6 years. But younger or older children are welcome if they would enjoy it.

Where and when:

- Pensby Library on Thursday 8th August 2019,

1:30-2:30pm (*Fully booked*) and 2:30-3:30pm

- Irby Library on Friday 9th August 2019,

10:30-11:30am (*Fully booked*) and 11:30-12:30pm

Junk Model Robots

This is one of our special mini events. In this session we will be using cardboard boxes, yogurt pots, kitchen roll tubes, egg boxes and other exciting materials like googly eyes, lolly sticks, pipe cleaners, matchsticks and foam shapes to create a robot!

These activities will be most suitable for 3-8 year olds, but younger children can still join in with a bit of adult help, and older children are welcome if they would enjoy it.

summer fun

Join us at our 'Summer Fun' event to celebrate the start of the Summer Holidays.You can make a beady butterfly, decorate a postcard, create sandcastles, sea creatures, and ice creams from playdough and paint with natural materials to make wonderful wildlife pictures of summer flowers, animals and insects. Plus there will be colouring sheets, wordsearches and puzzles.

Dinosaurs!

You can make a dinosaur mask and tail for dressing up, paint a dinosaur egg and make bones and fossils from dough. Plus there will be colouring sheets, wordsearches and puzzles.
